It’s always great to have a pair of athletes who work together to achieve a common goal not only on the softball field, but off it as well.
On the softball field, Kentucky high schoolers Katlyn Carter and Meghan Hammond are two of the many integral members of a team that holds a 15-7 mark and is one of the region’s top four units as a result.
The accomplishments the pair have obtained off the softball field, however, are far more important than any game could ever determine.
Behind a standout presentation that profiled a proper nutrition plan for a high school athlete, Carter and Hammond won first place honors at the FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) state convention in Louisville last month.
